Pimm’s is an old English liqueur featuring various fruits and herbs and labeled Nos. 1-6 with each number based on a different spirit. Humboldt’s Pimm’s Cup features Pimm’s No. 1, cucumber, strawberries, lemon juice and ginger beer. Pimm’s No. 1 is a gin-based spirit and is the most common spirit found on Wimbledon grounds, next to Champagne of course.
Pimms Sipper and The Ace
Along with Pimms another popular treat at Wimbledon is berries and cream and over at the ViewHouse these tasty concoctions include a healthy dollop of strawberries. The Pimms Sipper is a highball with fresh lemon juice, fresh strawberry puree, cucumber slices and local spirit Spring 44 Vodka topped with ginger beer. The Ace uses ViewHouse-infused cucumber vodka with fresh squeezed lime juice and muddled fresh strawberries topped with Sierra Mist.
