Celebrate Local Brewing at the Maryland Craft Beer Festival, May 30
With spring in full swing, so is festival season, and there are few things we love more than a quality beer festival.

Saturday, May 30, head to Carroll Creek Park in Downtown Frederick for the Maryland Craft Beer Festival presented by the Brewers Association of Maryland (BAM). 30 breweries from around the state will be pouring over 150 craft beers to the backdrop of live music from local bands like Big Hoax, Katie Powderly and the Unconditional Lovers, Greasy Hands, Heavy Lights as well as more local talent on the acoustic stage. Food trucks like Kooper’s Chowhound and the Smoking Swine BBQ, as well as vendors like local chocolatier Parfections, Norton’s Italian Ice, JB Seafood and Thunder Ridge Kettle Corn will be on hand to fill bellies with noshes to absorb those Maryland suds.

Concerned about getting back to the city after a day of craft beer? Have no fear. There will be a BAM Bus providing an all-inclusive, round trip bus tour which includes VIP tickets to the festival with four pick-up and drop-off locations from Jailbreak Brewing Company in Laurel, Heavy Seas Brewery in Halethorpe, Union Craft Brewing in Baltimore and Denizens Brewing Co. in Silver Spring (pick-up will be at 11 AM and drop-off will be no later than 7 PM).

Tickets are only available in advance; general admission is $30 for adults, $5 for designated drivers and youth (12-21) and kids under 12 are free. VIP tickets with the bus ride are $50. On-site metered street parking will be available, as well as several nearby city parking garages. For more information, check out mdcraftbeerfestival.com or call 410-252-9463.
