Last year, we reported on locally-made Winecream, a marriage of two of our loves: wine and ice cream. At that time, the entrepreneurs from Crossroads Company were traveling around the state to wine and food festivals, like Das Best Oktoberfest and the Maryland Wine Festival, to share their boozy dessert, in addition to appealing for help with funding the opening of a storefront in Highlandtown via Indiegogo.
 

While the storefront is still in the works, Crossroads has launched a shipping service to Maryland and Washington DC set to begin in December. Orders for the initial shipment launch are currently sold out, but stay tuned for announcements about when the next batch will be ready to ship.
 

Flavors being offered currently are Chocolate Covered Strawberry, house-made ice cream mixed with berry wine, strawberry puree, sliced strawberries, and chocolate chips, and Mixed Berry, house-made ice cream base mixed with berry wine, blueberry puree, sliced strawberries, and whole blueberries. Each clocks in at about 10% ABV, making a pint equivalent to about 3 glasses of wine.
 

Pints run $19.99 each and will be shipped for a flat $35 shipping cost in insulated foam coolers that hold up to four pints. Buyers who use the enclosed shipping label to return the coolers will receive a refund of $10 of their shipping costs.
