Charm City Folk Fest Will Again Rock Druid Hill, April 30

For the fourth year in a row, Baltimore will bask in some fantastic folk and bluegrass music at the Charm City Folk and Bluegrass Festival in Druid Hill Park on Saturday, April 30. Sample Baltimore’s best local food, brews, artists, and crafts.

The festival will offer up an incredible list of world-renowned musical acts for this one-day event. Artists include Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Keller Williams, The Travelin’ McCourys, Sleep Canyon Rangers, Sierra Hull, and area acts Cris Jacobs, Cabinet, Colebrook Road, and A Man About a Horse. And who knows what guest collaborations will happen on stage this year?

New to this year’s festival is the Acoustic University where attendees of all ages and musical skill levels are invited to take micro lessons directly from the festival’s performing artists.

Festival food and drink will focus on the local scene with establishments such as The Local Oyster, Otterbein’s Bakery, Jeno’s Steak, Mother’s Grille, Cardinal Tavern, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, and more in attendance. The official beer provider is Union Craft Brewing Company, and the brewery has created a special beer just for the event. The Charmery will also create a special festival ice cream flavor.

General admission tickets are $57 per person and VIP tickets, which includes access to a special VIP tent, viewing area, and restrooms will be $161 per person. Also included with VIP tickets are a special entrance, unlimited Union Craft beers, catered lunch, dinner, and snacks and discounted merchandise. Tickets can be purchased online.

Continuing its support for Druid Hill Park, $2 from each ticket sold will be donated to the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens, adjacent to the festival grounds. There will also be a raffle to benefit Believe in Music, a non-profit providing music education to Baltimore's inner city students.
