7 Bars Where You're Most Likely to See a Celebrity in Washington, D.C.

As D.C.’s food and nightlife scene has expanded in recent years, so have celebrity sightings that feature more faces than just the Majority Whip. Here’s a handful of spots that have proven celeb appeal.

Bourbon Steak: Sports crush? NBA teams are known to stay at the Four Seasons, and unwind at its swank restaurant and lounge, where power couple Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were also spotted just a few weeks ago (2800 Pennsylvania Ave. NW; 202-944-2026).

Capital Grille: Actor Robert Redford was reportedly at this classic spot as recently as April 18 (601 Pennsylvania Ave. NW; 202-737-6200).

Napoleon: Real Housewives of DC cast member Paul Wharton has been known to sip Champagne at the upstairs bar of this Adams Morgan spot, perfectly coiffed hair included (1847 Columbia Rd NW).

The Palm: The steakhouse is a sure bet for D.C.’s political and power celebs — just check out the famous mugs sketched on the walls (1225 19th St. NW; 202-293-9091).

Local 16: Sean Penn has been spotted on the rooftop of this U Street spot, and Olympian Ryan Lochte’s new TV Show features a scene here. Can’t beat good pizza and cold beer... or plenty of single ladies (1602 U St. NW; 202-265-2828).

McFadden’s: GW students aren’t the only ones who love this college dive; Nationals player Ryan Zimmerman told the Washington Post it’s one of his go-to haunts (2401 Pennsylvania Ave. NW; 202-223-2338).

Vidalia: Visiting dignitaries are noted to wine and dine here, shutting down a span of M Street in the process. Maybe it’s the security of a windowless basement space? (1900 M St. NW; 202-659-1990)
