Celebrate Local Food and Beer at the Maryland Brewers' Harvest, Sept 20

When fall arrives, it’s festival time in Charm City and this autumn is no different. Around the area are tons of interesting and eclectic food and drink events throughout September and October, but we are definitely eyeing up the Maryland Brewer’s Harvest event at the Bond Street Wharf on September 20.

Over 25 brewers will descend on the Fell’s Point waterfront location to generously pour their liquid goodness (at least 125 different varieties) for enthusiasts of craft brews. Notables include Jailbreak and Ellicott Mills as well as Heavy Seas and Backshore Brewing Company, just to name a few.

While over a hundred brews are certainly enough to pique our interest, we love that not only is beer tasting on the menu, but that a good bit of top talent from popular food joints around the city and beyond (think: Dangerously Delicious Pies, Brewer’s Art, Aggio) will be on hand as well to provide delicious dishes that will be paired with specific beers, all included in the ticket cost. Additional food (like incredible oysters from The Choptank Oyster Company) will be available at an extra cost, too.

We know what you’re thinking: an event like this has to make a huge dent in the drinking funds. Au contraire. For $35, you get the food pairings as well as 10 tickets for tastings (at 4 ounces each). They could probably call it “Food and a Forty (of really good beer)” and we’d be just as on board.

Feel like splurging a bit? Pay $65 for VIP tickets and get the food pairings, small batch tastings, and unlimited beer samples. We’re pretty sure we can’t remember the last time we went out in Fell’s Point for only $65 dollars for food and a boatload of top notch brews.
