Applebee's Is Bringing Back the Dollarita, For Some Reason

Applebee’s, purveyor of fine American dining and cocktails, is reinstituting its $1 margarita deal. The so-called Dollarita is back just in time for spring, so thirsty guests can pound drinks that are almost entirely made of tap-water.

The restaurant chain is reportedly bringing it back after a successful run last October, though the more cynical might accuse them of doing so to court the millennial drinker, who is famously “killing off” many industries, including large chain restaurants like Applebee’s. Not every location is serving the “ice cold” drink, so the company strongly suggests “reaching out to your local Applebee’s”. It also, appreciatively, asks for responsible drinking—it may be a weak margarita, but just $5 or $6 worth can still mess you up.

The deal lasts through the end of April, so you’ve got plenty of time to saddle up to an Applebee’s bar with a stack of dollar bills. Just be sure to tip your aggrieved server.
