Best Bars: The Point in Fells

Right on the water bookending a particularly lively block of Thames, The Point is a restaurant, but one with a ground-floor bar scene that provides a welcome (and loud) alternative to the pretty white-tableclothed room above.

It ain’t the most creatively named venue in Fells Point, but the view is sweet, the drunken gaming opportunities are ample (dibs on foosball table) and the lounge chairs scattered throughout are cushy. In addition to 18 brews on tap, don’t sleep on their weekend brunchtime generosity – order food and slap a $10 bill on the bar and you’ll get bottomless access to Bohs, Bloodys, Mimosas or Sangria (1738 Thames St.; 410-327-7264).
