Corks is Closed; Waterfront Kitchen Carries On

The news hit hard, both for regulars at the new American bistro and for the proprietors, who spent 21 successful years at their Federal Hill perch. Corks Restaurant has closed, due to a dispute with landlords over facilities repairs.

However, co-owner Charles Nabit is bringing Jerry Pellegrino over to his just-opened Waterfront Kitchen, where the Corks founding chef will act as a consultant, both in the kitchen and on the partnerships with Living Classroom

The wine list at Waterfront Kitchen already features many of the artisinal American vintages Corks was known for, and the specialty martinins are also on the way. Additionally, all gift certificates and dinner reservations from the shuttered bistro will be honored at the new Fells Point eatery, and all cooking classes that were to be held at Corks will also take place on the waterfront at Thames Street instead.
