Bars in Baltimore with Pool Tables

When you’re looking to add a bit of fun to a relaxing time out with pals, you can’t go wrong with a round of billiards. We checked around and snookered a list of 16 Baltimore bars that have pool tables, most offering free games to patrons. Bookmark this page so you can “cue” it up on a moment’s notice.

Claddagh Pub: The pool table matches perfectly with all of the clovers and green Irish memorabilia (2918 O’Donnell St.; 410-522-4220).

Dead End Saloon and Pelican Grille: We’re not sure exactly what a Pelican Grille is but they’ve got daily specials, wings and a pool table so that’s good enough for us (935 Fell St.; 410-732-3602).

Dougherty’s Pub: $2.25 domestics during happy hour and a place to play pool? Yes, please (223 W. Chase St.; 410-752-4059).

Elliott’s Pour House: Once you find this place (there’s no sign and the website is non-existent) you’ll be greeted by a no frills attitude and a bunch of awesome beers on tap (3728 Hudson St.; 410-276-2200).

The Hippo: This is one of the oldest GLBT clubs in the country and, yes, they also have pool (1 West Eager St.; 410-547-0069).

Illusions Magic Bar & Lounge: You’re unlikely to catch G.O.B. there but magician Spencer Horsman is nearly as good (1025 S. Charles St.; 410-727-5811).

Kislings Tavern & Grill: Cheap drinks, wings, and pool make this an easy choice if you’re in Fells Point (2100 Fleet St.; 410-327-5477).

The Laughing Pint: Consistently listed as one of Baltimore’s top bars, The Laughing Pint has ping-pong, shuffle board and pool (3531 Gough St.; 410-342-6544).

Looney’s Pub: A favorite of college students, Looney’s has plenty of food and drink specials every night of the week (2900 O’Donnell St.; 410-675-9235).

Max’s Taphouse: 140 beers on tap and pool. I mean, come on, let’s go (737 South Broadway; 410-675-6297).

Mother’s Federal Hill: Whether you’re looking for a nice dinner with a date, a place to watch the game or a place to play a game, Mother’s is a great choice (1113 South Charles St.; 410-244-8686).

The Ottobar: One of our favorite music venues in the city has a game room upstairs that is a perfect place to hang out before shows (2549 N. Howard St.; 410-662-0069).

Ropewalk: This bar dates back to pre-prohibition and is situated on one of the older streets in Federal Hill, so stop in to soak in some history while having some beers (1209 South Charles St.; 410-727-1298).

Spirits Tavern: Close to the Fells Point hot spots but far enough away from the craziness and obnoxiousness, this neighborhood bar a pleasant change of pace (1901 Bank St.; 410-563-1612).

The Wharf Rat: It’s rumored to be haunted, so bring some friends and a flashlight (801 S. Ann St.; 410-276-9034).
