Where to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Baltimore

This Saturday is Cinco de Mayo, and while it’s definitely not Mexican Independence Day (and not even marked in most of Mexico), it has become a nationwide celebration of Mexican culture and heritage in the U.S., and fiestas abound. Where to party on May 5? We’ve got your list.

14th Annual Kinetic Sculpture Race: Hosted by the American Visionary Arts Museum, the race takes place throughout the city and features human-powered sculptures racing through nearly every neighborhood. Mr. Rain’s Fun House will also be hosting a pre-party fundraiser the evening before from 6–10 PM.

Blue Agave: The celebration begins early at 9 AM and features $3 Dos Equis drafts, $3 select Mexican bottled beers and $6 Mexican crushes with premium tequilas.

Little Havana: This Federal Hill Cuban will be serving $12 special pitchers from noon–5 PM and there will be special giveaways throughout the day.

Mex: Head to this Power Plant cantina at 4 PM for 50-cent margaritas, Dos Equis, So and Tecate. Special drink prices will increase by 50 cents every hour thereafter.

Power Plant: Hit up the $25 all-access open bar from 9 PM–midnight. Tickets can be purchased here.

Towsontown Spring Festival: Find plenty of Mex-inspired food, drink, music and fun in downtown Towson from 10 AM–7 PM, Saturday and 1–7 PM, Sunday.

Zen West Roadside Cantina: At the day-long party alll four bars will have specials on Mexican beers and margaritas.
