We’ve all been there before. You’re working late, all of your friends and coworkers are out enjoying happy hour deals and by the time you get out of the office to join them, all those specials are over. Next time you’re held up or make late night plans, here’s where to eat and drink on a discount.
 
14th St’s newest BBQ restaurant offers a frito pie from its takeout window with frito chips topped with chili, onion, and cheese. Available midnight–3 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, it’s a perfect snack after a late night out on 14th or U Street. (2005 14th St, NW; 202-747-2377)
 
Late night happy hour runs Monday–Thursday from 10 PM to midnight. What you’ll get: a burger and beer for $10. Choose a burger, chicken breast, or lentil burger and pair it with one of their local drafts. (716 Monroe St, NE; 202-758-2757)
