Strap on Your Running Shoes for the Inaugural Baltimore Beer Run, Oct. 12
“Beer” and “run” are probably high on the list of “Two Words Not Often Associated,” but on October 12, Birroteca and Heavy Seas are pairing the two in a perfect marriage for the inaugural Baltimore Beer Run.
Starting at 11 AM, the event features three different runs around the popular Woodberry/Hampden area restaurant, Birroteca. Kicking off right at 11 is the Loose Cannon 5k with six laps around Birroteca with optional beer stops, followed by the Baltimore Beer Mile at 11:45 AM with two half-mile laps around the building and four 12-ounce beer stops. At noon, the Pirate Fun Run invites casual runners to take a few laps as well, and while organizers say that pirate costumes are “optional,” we’re pretty sure some eye patches and tricorn hats will (and should!) make an appearance.
At 12:15 PM, all registered participants can join in the post-race party with awards and refreshments. Winners of the races will receive gift certificates to Birroteca and Heavy Seas.
Registration costs are fairly low (considering beer is included!) at $35 for the 5k, $30 for the Baltimore Beer Mile and $25 for the Pirate Fun Run
The amount of participants is limited to 1000. To register, click here.
