Where to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo 2017 in Baltimore

by Jennifer Waldera on Apr 25, 2017 in Roundups

The drinking gods are surely smiling on us this year, with first St. Patrick’s Day, and now Cinco de Mayo, landing on a Friday. We can’t write your doctor’s note, but we can certainly support the idea to make the first weekend of May a day longer if you choose.

Admiral’s Cup
AC’s Cerveza Celebration starts at 5 pm with drink specials including $3 Miller Lite, $4 Blue Moon, and $5 Tequila Shots. (1647 Thames St; 410-534-5555)

Das Bier Haus
A German beer hall might not be the expected spot to find Cinco de Mayo specials, but Das Bier Haus is overturning expectations and hosting a Cinco de Maibock party all day including specials like $7 Hofbrau Maibock and Pacifico liters, $15 tequila shot skis, and $2 off Boots - with two free shots of tequila with every boot purchase. (1542 Light St; 443-708-8854)

Hard Rock Cafe
Flying Dog Brewery will be making an appearance on Hard Rock’s pier from 5 PM - 7 PM to celebrate the holiday with tastings of their Numero Uno beer. Need a drink that packs a little more punch? Try the Numero Uno Margarita. (601 E Pratt St, Baltimore, 410-347-7625)

La Tolteca
CityFam is hosting the Cinco de Mayo celebration at La Tolteca’s Canton location from 8 pm - 11 pm. After soaking up the specials on drinks and food, put that liquid courage to good use and get in on the lip syncing battle. Feeling philanthropic? CityFam will also be accepting donations to benefit Bea Gaddy Family Centers/Believe in Tomorrow Children's House at Johns Hopkins. (2324 Boston St, Baltimore; 410-617-0959)

Little Havana
Starting at 11:30 AM, Little Havana will be hosting bands and DJs for their tented event. Go for the drink specials. Stay for the opportunity to get your picture taken with a donkey. (1325 Key Hwy, Baltimore; 410-837-9903)

Papi’s Tacos
Never one to be outdone, Papi’s Tacos is extending their Cinco celebration over two days. On both Friday and Saturday, sidle up to their bar for specials including $25 pitchers of house margaritas, $25 beer buckets of 6, $12 pitchers of draft beer, and $5 select tequila. There’s also a Friday-only special of $9 20oz Dos Manos house margaritas. (1703 Aliceanna St; 410-299-8480)

Points South Latin Kitchen
This Thames Street spot is celebrating its second Cinco de Mayo with $3 sangria, $5 margaritas and tacos from $3-$6. (1640 Thames St; 443-563-2018)
