Where to Celebrate Valentine's Day in Baltimore

Roses? Chocolates? Ho-hum. Whether you’re looking to impress your date with a night on the town or just want to escape the crush of cloying couples, we’ve got a roundup of soirees with special sips to help you really celebrate the day of love.

Blue Agave: If your sweetheart swoons for tequila, this Mexican in the historic McHenry Theater building is the place to go. A special dinner package for two is just $55, and expect several agave specialty drinks shaken up to go along (Friday–Sunday, Feb. 10–12 and Tuesday, Feb. 14; 410-576-3938).

Howl at the Moon: Not feeling the love? Head to the anti-Valentine’s Day part at thisPower Plant Live piano bar and enjoy “X-Boyfriend” cocktails and 86-oz. “Bad Romance” buckets. All you have to do to score free admission? Bring in a satisfyingly mutilated pic of your ex (Saturday, Feb. 11; 410-783-5111).

The Point in Fells:
Liquor reps will be in the house for the annual V-Day event at this Thames Street bistro, so you know the drinks will be top notch. Four courses and five wines make up the menu, and the dining room is split: twosomes get romantic seating, but “singles ready to mingle” are welcome, too, for a family style mixer dinner (6:30 and 8:30 PM couples; 7:30 PM singles, Tuesday, Feb. 14; $55 per person or $100 per couple; 410-327-7264).

Vino Rosina: Wonderful wines await to accompany the four-course prix fixe offering at this petite Harbor East new American ($55 or $85 per person with wine pairings), or go rustic and easy with á la carte selections that include buffalo mac ‘n’ cheese and rabbitt rillettes (Friday–Saturday, Feb. 10–11 and Monday–Tuesday, Feb. 13–14; 410-528-8600).

Waterfront Kitchen: Win his or her heart with a gorgeous view of the harbor at this Fells Point new American, where a glass of Champagne come gratis with your meal. The special three-course menu has lots of options, and can also be served with a wine pairing for $20 more (Tuesday, Feb. 14; $59 per person; 443-681-5310).
