We are just over a month away from the fourth annual extravaganza known as Baltimore Beer Week. From October 19–28, the city (and surrounding region) will be awash in over 300 brew-focused events, from tastings to competitions to beery brunches and dinners.

Kicking everything off will be Opening Tap, taking place at Power Plant Live from 6–9 PM. The ceremonial First Firkin of the 10-day festival will be tapped using the storied Star Spangled Banger – it’s a special cask from BBW flagship sponsor Heavy Seas Beer.

Along with the Heavy Seas crew, you can expect to find just about all of Baltimore’s beer community on hand at the celebration, from brewers to bloggers to bar owners.
