PABU Hosts a Totally Rad 80s Party, August 6
Karate Kid fans take note: on Tuesday, August 6, PABU is throwing an 80's Night party in homage to the Ralph Macchio classic and his nemeses at the Cobra Kai dojo. The evening will be full of modern Japanese street food from chef Jonah Kim and pastry chef Chris Ford, as well as a selection of 80s-inspired beverages
For $29 per person, you get access to all-you-can-eat 80s bites, including Okodogs, Loco Moco, Kim’s take on Stouffer’s frozen meals and Ford’s twist on the classic Twinkies and HoHo’s. Beverage specials will include house-made wine coolers among other libations.
Eighties attire is strongly encouraged, so make sure you wear your best leg warmers, shoulder pads, jean jackets, acid-washed jeans and rubber bracelets. DJ Gray will be spinning 80s tracks sure to take you back — think tunes from Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince and plenty of other big hair artists. There may even be prizes for the best (aka worst) dressed. No tickets needed, just make a reservation or show up.
