Going Bottomless in Baltimore

Going Bottomless in Baltimore

Some soul-savvy folks find solace at the tabernacle on a Sunday morning. The rest of us solve the world's greatest mysteries on a Sunday afternoon with the holy communion that is a bottomless brunch. Baltimore has more and more options popping up lately, and we’ve rounded up a few of the local favorites to congregate:

Wit & Wisdom
This place is in the Four Seasons, which should provide more than enough info on the level of quality to expect. However, don’t be put off by the fancy-pants status of the Four Seasons. Wit & Wisdom is welcoming to all and provides the same exemplary service whether you’re ordering your first or fifteenth mimosa. If you manage to get around to eating, the smorgasbord of fresh seafood and smoked meats are paired with traditional brunch favorites and does not disappoint. (200 International Dr.; 410-576-6800)

Saute
Saute offers an affordable one plate, way more than one drink option that includes unlimited bloody marys, mimosas or sangrias for $17.95. The brunch menu is broken into breakfast and lunch, which is perfect for any group that includes someone vehemently against poached eggs. (2844 Hudson St.; 410-327-2883)

Ambassador Dining Room
Indian buffet + outdoor fireplaces + all you can drink mimosas, bloodys, and sangrias = WIN. Bonus: Plenty of vegetarian options outside of the requisite tomato juice. (3811 Canterbury Rd.; 410-366-1484)

Rusty Scupper
In addition to the brunch drink staples, Rusty Scupper’s jazz brunch always ups the ante with a seasonal drink option including winter’s popular Rum Apple Cider. The seafood focused brunch buffet includes fresh oysters, smoked fish, crab and shrimp omelets plus familiar breakfast staples. Be sure to make advance reservations for holidays or special occasions as this place is a hometown Mother’s Day favorite. (402 Key Highway; 410-727-3678)

Bar Cocina
Bar Cocina’s waterfront brunch features Bloody Marias with a house-made bacon-infused tequila on Saturdays and Sundays that will rival your favorite bartender’s best cocktail. The large menu of Mexican small plates are meant for sharing, which makes this a good option for groups and indecisive diners alike. (1629 Thames St.; 410-563-8800)
