From
February 19–21, 650 artisans will descend on Baltimore’s Convention Center to showcase various crafts from metalsmithing and woodturning to glassblowing and beyond for the
American Craft Council Show. Last year’s show also incorporated craft beverages by featuring tastings of
The Balvenie Scotch by the knowledgeable and entertaining Balvenie Brand Ambassador, David Laird.
This year, in addition to whisky tastings, samplings of craft beers and food will also be available in the Let’s Make pavilion, an area of the show dedicated to bringing together experts and attendees who can learn about or participate in the creative process.
Presented by Bond Distributing, the craft beer pop-ups on February 19 and 20 will feature local brewers who can share information about the brewing process and offering tastes of their microbrews. Breweries expected to be in attendance are Union Craft Brewing, The Brewer’s Art, Charm City Meadworks, Monument City, and Flying Dog.
After checking out the Let’s Make pavilion, attendees can visit the rest of the American Craft Council Show which offers a variety of categories of artisanal work from handmade, under-$100 crafts to luxury goods.
Guests can save time by purchasing tickets online at www.craftcouncil.org/baltimore. Online tickets can be printed and brought to the door. Advance one-day passes are $14 and three-day passes are $34. Tickets are $5 after 5 PM on Friday night when purchased on-site.
