Try Afternoons of Amaro with Amie at Aggio

Try Afternoons of Amaro with Amie at Aggio

If you’re an enthusiastic cocktail sipper in Baltimore, it’s likely you’ve noticed Amaro popping up increasingly on drink menus throughout the city. The syrupy Italian herbal liqueur, with its bittersweet flavor, has become a focus of several newer bar programs, and while it has traditionally been drunk as an after-dinner aperitif, its addition to cocktails has become prevalent.

Since many are unfamiliar with the Italian liqueur, Aggio’s Amie Ward has launched a summer long series of educational courses that include 3 pours (4 for Fernet classes), a cocktail, a charcuterie plate, and all of the knowledge bombs that this Amaro expert can drop.

Classes started in June, but continue through the summer with two dates remaining: July 31 (for Fernet Part 1) and August 21 (for Fernet Part 2), both from 3 - 4 PM. Classes are $50 each, and space can be reserved by calling Aggio at 410-528-0200 or by emailing eric@volt-aggio.com.
