Who couldn’t use a shot of tequila or two after a long Monday? We picked out some of the best Baltimore bars to do just that on July 24, National Tequila Day. From impressively large selections to Monday specials, there are plenty of places to celebrate.

Blue Agave
With more than 130 varieties, Blue Agave has one of Baltimore’s largest tequila selections. Try half ounce pours in flights or order from their extensive margarita and cocktail list, all made with fresh juices and housemade mixes. (1032 Light St; 410-576-3938)

Clavel
While we wouldn’t typically advise sipping on another spirit on tequila’s big holiday, we think it might be acceptable to sample and learn about mezcal, tequila’s close relative. While tequila is produced using only blue agave, mezcal can be made from any of the many agave plants found in Mexico. Clavel specializes in mezcal, with a hefty menu of options as well as several pre-designed flights. There’s also a short list of artisanal tequilas as well for the National Tequila Day purist. El Bufalo
On the Square in Canton, El Bufalo offers over 50 brands of tequila to sip neat or in a cocktail. Line your stomach before, during, or after with their Mexican, Southwestern, and Spanish influenced dishes. (2921 O'Donnell St; 410-814-0594)

Mex Tequila Bar at Power Plant Live!   
This Power Plant Live! Mainstay offers not only 50 varieties of tequila, but also $4.50 house margaritas on Mondays. (26 Market Pl; 410-528-0128)

Nacho Mama’s
Nacho Mama’s is known for their iconic hubcap margarita, but they also sport a solid selection of tequila. On Mondays, they also offer a special - buy 2 fajitas get a pitcher of margaritas (or sangria) all day and night. (2907 O'Donnell St; 410-675-0898)

Papi’s Tacos
Sip from the extensive tequila and margarita lists in the bar, at sidewalk tables, or on the cozy back terrace at Papi’s. On Mondays they serve up $4 signature margaritas on the rocks or frozen, and $4.50 flavored margaritas. Anytime, add a Smoky Mezcal floater to any margarita for $3. Taco Fiesta    
This Harbor East taco spot with half price selected tequila shots on Mondays makes it a natural choice for National Tequila Day. There are also half price Mexican beers and Fiesta-ritas. (618 S Exeter St; 410-234-3782)
