The Elephant is Unveiling a Second-Floor Speakeasy
The Elephant opened just over a year ago in Mt. Vernon. A rebranding of the Brass Elephant restaurant in an iconic 1850’s mansion, by new owners Steven and Linda Rivelis, the restaurant has served globally inspired cuisine at accessible price points alongside top notch cocktails and impressive beer and wine lists.
On September 7, the midtown spot will unveil their upstairs speakeasy concept. Enter from N. Charles St and pass beneath a crystal chandelier from Ireland while walking alongside intricate teak archways hand-carved in India to reach a unique staircase with a motif from the Taj Mahal designed by Lockwood Deforest. Follow those stairs to reach the two cozy lounges as well as the 32’ white marble bar at the Upstairs At The Elephant.
Upstairs At The Elephant will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 pm with last call at midnight.
