Where to Celebrate Halloween 2017 in Baltimore

by Jennifer Waldera on Oct 24, 2017 in Roundups

Halloween falling on a Tuesday instead of the weekend is plenty of reason to say boo. While the holiday timing offers up a great reason for a mid-week work call-out, there are plenty of pre-holiday festivities on the weekend before to get your Halloween horrors on.

Blue Pit BBQ and Whiskey
Rocky Horror at Blue Pit starts at 8 PM on October 28 with a costume contest at midnight. The show starts at 10 PM and specialty drinks will be sold to raise funds for YES (Youth Empowered Society). (1601 Union Ave, 443-948-5590)

Bin 604
Stop into Bin 604 in Harbor East from 3 - 5 PM on October 8 for some “ghoulish treats” with Baltimore Whiskey Company. Tickets are $10. (604 S Exeter St, 410-576-0444)

Federal Hill-O-Ween Bar Crawl
On Saturday October 28 from 5 PM - midnight, crawl your way around Federal Hill for costume contests, food discounts, and beer specials including $3 Miller Lite, $4 Blue Moon, and $4 Leinenkugel's Harvest Patch at fourteen Fed Hill spots. Get tickets here.

Fells Point Tavern
Saturday through Tuesday Fells Point Tavern will be celebrating Halloween. Live music will be on hand Saturday and Sunday and Dagm DJ will be spinning Tuesday night. Drink specials will abound and a costume contest will be held both Saturday and Tuesday nights with winners announced by midnight. (1606 Thames St, 410-276-4700)

Great Halloween Lantern Parade and Festival
One of the most popular and well-attended Halloween events of the year, the Great Halloween Lantern Parade and Festival at Patterson Park kicks off at 3:30 PM on Saturday October 28. The parade begins at 7 PM. Individually hand-crafted lanterns will light up the parade while the festival will feature lantern-making, hayrides, yoga, a kid costume contest, and an arts and crafts market. Live music, local food trucks and a beer garden will be on hand as well.

James Joyce Irish Pub
This Harbor East haunt is hosting a Fancy Dress Party with tunes from the Righteous Ramblers. (616 S President St, 410-727-5107)

Noble’s Bar and Grill
Nobles all you can eat Boo! Brunch ($17.99) is the way to start "Hill-o-ween" on October 28. Grab bottomless Bloody Marys, mimosas, and screwdrivers for $12, too. DJ Slinger will be playing 80's & 90's throwbacks and there will be a costume contest with cash prizes: $150 for 1st place, $50 for second. (1024 S Charles St, 410-727-1355)

The Elephant (Upstairs)
Stop into one of Mt. Vernon’s classiest spots on the 27th, 28th, and 31st from 5 PM -  midnight in full costume get 10% off your bill from their menu of global cuisine and crafty cocktails and also be entered for a chance to win a $100 gift card. (924 N Charles St, 443-447-7878)

Power Plant Live!
The Strangest Things Ever Party on October 28 will offer access to every bar in PPL, multiple DJs, and a costume contest with over $10,000 in cash and prizes. (34 Market Pl, 410-727-5483)

The Point in Fells
Channeling one of the next big holidays, The Point is hosting The Nightmare Before Christmas theme party on October 29. The party starts at brunch and continues all day and night with themed food, a costume contest with prizes, music, a photo booth, and drink specials, of course. (1738 Thames St, 410-327-7264)
