Where to Drink on Thanksgiving 2017 in Baltimore

by Jennifer Waldera on Nov 21, 2017 in Roundups

Thanksgiving evening drinks aren’t hard to find in Baltimore - nearly every establishment is open. But if you’re really trying to get away from the holiday hijinks, there are more than a few spots ready to fill the void that gossiping great aunt Gertrude or your holiday hijacking inlaws left behind.

B&O American Brasserie
B&O American Brasserie’s cocktails are worthy of a visit any day, but the bar at the base of the Hotel Monaco is also offering bottles of wine for $30 as well as a Thanksgiving buffet from noon to 8 pm with roasted turkey and salmon, seasonal sides, and desserts for $40/person. Bottles of wine will also be available for $30. (2 N. Charles St., 443-692-6172)

Blue Hill Tavern
This Brewer’s Hill mainstay has multiple bars to enjoy a good drink, but they are also serving a three course menu for $39.99. A children’s menu will be available as well. (938 S Conkling St, 443-388-9363)

Charleston
The swanky Harbor East spot will offer an $85 per person prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu. Wine pairings will be available. (1000 Lancaster St., 410-332-7373)

Laughing Pint
This Highlandtown corner bar is a perfect spot to sip away the holidays. Starting at 2 PM, Laughing Pint is hosting their 12th Annual Misfit Thanksgiving at the Pint, a potluck for any who choose to come. Stop by the bar or their Facebook page to let them know you’re joining and the dish you choose to bring. (3531 Gough St, 410-342-6544)

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar
The upscale Harbor East steakhouse has a generously sized bar with an even more impressive wine list for those looking to imbibe, but Fleming’s will also offer a three-course Thanksgiving menu starting at $40 ($20 for children under 12) which includes holiday standards like turkey and stuffing as well as indulgent dishes like lobster bisque. (720 Aliceanna St., 410-332-1666)

Fogo de Chao
This Brazilian steakhouse shakes and stirs some impressive seasonal cocktails but it’s more well known for its ability to induce the meat sweats. Getting in on the most indulgent holiday of the year, Fogo is offering traditional Thanksgiving mains and sides in addition to their regular meat selection. Dinner pricing will apply all day. (600 E. Pratt St., 410-528-9292)

Grano Emporio
The popular Hampden eatery will have limited seatings for Thanksgiving Dinner from 2 PM to 6 PM in addition to their regular menu. The turkey, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, and sauteed Brussels sprouts with pancetta are enticing, but the Apple Cider Margarita is really calling our names. Call to reserve a table. (3547 Chestnut Ave, 443-438-7521)

McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood
You could just drink booze at the bar with a fantastic view of the water. But, in addition to its regular seafood-focused menu, this Inner Harbor restaurant will serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. (711 Eastern Ave., 410-234-1300)

M&S Grill
McCormick and Schmick’s sister restaurant will be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner alongside its regular menu. (201 E. Pratt St., 410-547-9333)

Regi’s Bistro
Reservations are recommended for the Thanksgiving dinner at this Federal Hill bistro that has sold out annually for 14 years. Some of their creatively named cocktails keep us coming back. (1002 Light St, 410-539-7344)

Roy’s Restaurant
The opportunity to sip on one or two Hawaiian Martinis at Roy’s would be enough to make us thankful. However, the Harbor East restaurant will be offering both their classic prix-fixe menu ($49.99 and up) and a Thanksgiving dinner menu ($39.95), each of which are three courses. Wine pairings are available as well. (720 Aliceanna St., 410-659-0099)

Rusty Scupper
The waterfront mainstay with sweeping views of the Harbor and an impressive list of libations will be hosting its yearly Thanksgiving Day Buffet from 11:30 AM until 6:30 AM for $54.95 per person ($27.95 for children 10 and under). Turkey, honey-glazed ham, and prime rib will be carved alongside traditional Thanksgiving sides but there will be an abundance of seafood dishes as well including PEI mussels, roasted salmon with crab, peel and eat shrimp, and fresh oysters. Baltimore’s classic side of sauerkraut and sausage will make an appearance as well. Reservations for the Thanksgiving feast are required. (402 Key Hwy, 410-727-3678)

The Brass Tap at the Fitzgerald
The Brass Tap is opening for the NFL games with kickoff at 12:30 and doors open until the end of the last game. Pints of Raven Lager will be $5 during all NFL games. (1201 W Mt Royal Ave, 443-426-2524)

The Elephant
This midtown spot with elevated cuisine will be serving a festive three course meal for $55 per person ($70 with wine pairings) on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, starting at noon with the last seating at 8 PM. Upstairs @ The Elephant – a speakeasy-styled lounge and bar – will be serving global street foods and handcrafted classic and creative cocktails starting at 5 PM, with last pour at midnight. There will also be live jazz with no cover from 6 PM to 9 PM. (924 N Charles St, 443-447-7878)

The Oceanaire Seafood Room
This seafood focused spot will have a Thanksgiving dinner with turkey roulade and seasonal sides. (801 Aliceanna St.,443-872-0000)

Twist
Starting at 10 am Twist is feasting on Thanksgiving with plenty of traditional dishes on their $45.95 prix-fixe menu in addition to their regular menu. Bring your own holiday booze of choice - Twist is BYOB. (723 S Broadway, 410-522-4000)

Wit & Wisdom
With one of the best water views in Baltimore and some of the best cocktails to sip in Charm City, Wit & Wisdom is the best place to impress on a holiday. Sip solo on cocktails at the bar, or take part in the prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu ($85 per adult/$40 per child). (200 International Drive, 410-576-5800)
