Head to These 2018 Winter Festivals & Events in Baltimore

Winter brings all of the regular events that inspire imbibing - Superbowl, St. Patrick’s Day, and, well, Valentine’s Day. But there are plenty of other reasons to crawl out from under your comforter in the chilly months ahead.

2nd Annual Little Italy Meatball Fest
Sunday, January 14 from 3 PM - 6 PM sample a massive amount of meatballs in the best meatball competition, then continue to work on your winter bod with a buffet of pasta, salad, dessert, and more meatballs for only $30 per person (plus a cash bar). There are also raffles and giveaways along with prizes for the top three meatball competition winners. Get tickets here. (Pandola Learning Center, 914 Stiles Street)

Baltimore Bar Guild's 7th Annual "Ryes Up Against Cystic Fibrosis" Charitable Gala
BBG will host this popular annual charity event to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Maryland on Sunday, March 4 from 5 PM - 8 PM. Samples of 20 drinks crafted by BBG members will be available along with apps from 15 local restaurants; attendees can take part in the People’s Choice vote for best cocktail and food. Das Bier Haus 2nd Anniversary Party
On Thursday, January 11 from 7 PM to close, pop by DBH for draft, shot, and bomb specials, and an ice luge to celebrate the bar’s 2nd anniversary.

Cupid’s Undie Run
Created to raise funds to find a cure for Neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that affects 1 in every 3,000 children born, Cupid’s Undie Run is a party and short run that takes place this year on February 10. Arrive at Luckie’s Tavern at noon to warm up a bit from the inside before taking off for the “brief” run at 2 PM, returning afterwards for a few more hours of imbibing. Undies are encouraged, but costumes are welcome as well. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased here. (Luckie’s Tavern, 10 Market Place, 410-223-1105)

Chuy’s (Annapolis)
In celebration of the 83rd birthday of Elvis Presley on January 8th, the Chuy’s Annapolis location is offering a free entree to diners who visit Chuy’s dressed as Elvis (or Priscilla). Additionally, Chuy's will offer $1 off their Elvis Green Chile Fried Chicken and the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo for all customers and Frozen Blue Hawaiians will also be available for purchase. Cider Week Baltimore
For the week of January 30 through February 3, hard cider tastings and events will take place around the city. Stay tuned to the event’s Facebook page for details.

Max’s Taphouse Belgian Beer Fest
From 11 AM - 2 AM February 16 - 19 Max’s will host its annual beer festival featuring Belgian brews. (737 S Broadway, 410-675-6297)

Taste of the NFL 2018 at Boathouse Canton
On January 18,  Boathouse will host Baltimore's Taste of the NFL, a charity event intended to help kick hunger in America. Restaurants participating in the event include The Boathouse Canton, Pierpoint Restaurant, Avenue Kitchen & Barn, and Portalli's of Ellicott City. Tickets are $65 for General Admission with unlimited tastings and an open bar from 6 PM - 10 PM or $100 for VIP Admission with early entrance, a designated VIP area, special tastings and bar selection and giveaways. The 6th Annual Winter Wine Showcase, Presented by the Maryland Wineries Association
The 6th Annual Winter Wine Showcase will be hosted by the Maryland Wineries Association this year on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 6 PM - 9:30 PM at the B&O Railroad Museum and will feature over forty award-winning selections from Maryland wineries. Tickets are $55.00 for the “Roundhouse Tasting” (7 PM -9:30 PM) and $70.00 for the “Sparkling Wine Pre-Reception and Roundhouse Tasting” (6 PM -9:30 PM) and are available here.
