Where to Drink Fall Cocktails in Baltimore

by Jennifer Waldera on Oct 2, 2018 in Roundups

Autumn is knocking on our door, much like the little ones in their costumes searching for candy will be soon. What better way to welcome the backdrop of falling leaves and brisk nights than to raise a glass full of fall flavor?

This stylish Towson spot is serving up a fall-style whiskey sour by incorporating notes of apple, walnut, and cinnamon. (1 Olympic Pl; 410-339-7730)

This Brewer’s Hill bar has strong seasonal cocktail game, and this fall is no different. Their punny drink names are on point, too. (3650 Toone St; 443-869-6874)

Lord Baltimore Hotel's Dylan King shares the same passion that we have for products from The Baltimore Spirits Company. In his riff on an Old Fashioned, King infuses flavors of fall into this cocktail with the Apple Brandy from Baltimore Spirits Company, along with locally made maple syrup. (20 W Baltimore St; 410-539-8400)

This upscale lounge near Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, housed in the Royal Sonesta, is giving a nod to the events of the season with its fall cocktail menu. For the entire month of October, the Pink Saver will be featured in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For the week of October 3rd to October 9th, the All American Lemonade and the Sagamore Cider will be available to celebrate Baltimore’s Fleet Week and Air Show. (550 Light St; 410-234-0550)

This sophisticated steakhouse is serving up a twist on the classic Manhattan by mixing the complex 1792 Bourbon with the Mexican spirit Licor 43 which incorporates notes of citrus, herbs, and vanilla. (Multiple locations)

The Elephant's signature handcrafted cocktail is the Tiffany in which the components change seasonally to reflect what the restaurant is sourcing from its farmers and growers. The summertime version incorporated watermelon. Autumn brings an update with the use of apple, cranberry, and pumpkin seeds. (924 N Charles St; 443-447-7878)

This taco bar with an impressive tequila selection recently opened a third location in Harbor Point (its other two are in Severna Park and Annapolis). Their seasonal take on a margarita extends beyond fruit to incorporate one of fall’s earthiest vegetables, and the drink’s namesake, the carrot. (1401 Point Street; 443-835-3474)

This waterfront bar is an ideal spot to settle in for the increasingly earlier sunsets as fall descends on the city. Chase away the chill in the air while imbibing the autumnal cocktails. (200 International Drive; 410-576-5800)
