When the weather gets cooler, it’s easy to just rely on some straight bourbon or a hearty red, but there a few spots in Baltimore heating things up with spiced or heated cocktails that warm you from the inside out.

 

If anyone in town knows how to craft a seasonal cocktail, it’s Brendan Dorr at B&O. While the Brasserie is housed at the classy Hotel Monaco, the bar has anything but a hotel feel. Dining and drinking here is as authentic a downtown Baltimore experience as you can find. Dorr is currently shaking and stirring several spiced concoctions for the chilly season. 1.5 oz. Casa Noble Reposado

.5 oz. Amontillado Sherry

1 oz. Apple Cider

.25 oz. Lemon Juice

.25 oz. Cinnamon Syrup

Build ingredients in shaker tin.  Shake with ice and strain into ice-filled Collins glass.

Garnish: Fanned Apple Slices Skewered  

 

1.5 oz. Singani63

.5 oz. Allspice Dram

.25 oz. Orgeat

.75 oz. Lemon Juice

Egg White

HARD shake ingredients with little ice and strain into a Coupe glass.

Garnish: 4 drops Angostura on top and drag a skewer through to create a circular design

 

1.5 oz. Chai Toki Whisky

.5 oz. District Shrub Ginger

.25 oz. Lemon Juice

3 oz Seltzer

Build in an ice-filled Highball glass. Light stir to mix.

Garnish: Skewered Candied Ginger & Lemon Wheel
