Chazz's Happy Hour & Dessert Cocktails
Since opening to wide acclaim this summer, Chazz: A Bronx Original has been adding to it’s Italian-focused repertoire. The Harbor East coal-fired pizza spot from actor Chazz Palminteri and Sergio and Alessandro Vitale (of Little Italy’s Aldo) now has an impressive weekday happy hour (though it’s 5–7 PM only), featuring deals on drinks of all kinds.
Draft beers are half-price, which means perfect-temperature pours of the house Chazz Ale and IPA and Long Trail Seasonal are just $3 and Bitburgers are $3.50, in addition to others. A set of $5 cocktails and half-off red and white wines round out the drink deals, which are accompanied by a special menu of $5 bites like veal meatball sliders and prosciutto bruschetta (try saying that one five times fast).
New to Chazz’s offerings are several winter dessert items, which also include a set of dessert cocktails. The Shaccata (Italian-American for “shaken”) is a strong but sweet tipple, full of creamy vanilla and espresso notes ($10). The housemade limoncello is like a “lemon creamsicle for adults,” and there is a full complement of traditional after-dinner sambucas and amaros. So whether you’re starting your evening or capping it off, Chazz has something for the discerning drinker.
