DuClaw HellRazer Release Party at Frisco Taphouse, Feb 1
Hopheads, get ready to celebrate, because DuClaw’s newest label is chock full of noble, fruity, spicy aroma and flavor, and it’s about to hit the retail market. Originally brewed at the end of 2011 (check out the release video here), HellRazer IPA has been available only at the DuClaw brewpubs, until now. On Wednesday, February 1, the IPA will be officially introduced at a party at Columbia’s Frisco Taphouse.
When you head to Frisco Taphouse, expect a very beery evening. Acclaimed imperial stout DuClaw Retribution will be on tap (not often seen), as well as 10–15 other DuClaw offerings. Also look for plenty of swag and prize giveaways.
“We haven’t done a big event there since our Colossus World Tour in the fall of 2011,” sales manager Brad Klipner told us, adding, “The turnout at that event was awesome, and the brewery crew always has a great time.”
HellRazer is made with Motueka hops from New Zealand, which impart a unique character as well as give the beer a rather high IBU rating of 85. The medium-bodied golden ale also has just enough malt flavor to balance the bitterness, and rings in at 7.5% ABV. The label will be available on draft throughout Baltimore City, County and the surrounding areas, as well as in six-packs, as soon as mid-to-late February.
