Thursday, March 15

Passport to Italian Wines Tasting


What:
Wine Tasting
Where: Sotto Sopra (405 N. Charles St.)
When: 6–8 PM, Thursday, March 15
Price: $25

Explore the perfect Italian wine from a contemporary Italian restaurant located in Mount Vernon’s cultural and historic district. This tasting features wines from the Emilia-Romagno area of Italy. Tickets are required, so make a reservation by calling (410) 625-0534. Additionally, there is a 20% discount on dinner if you stay after the tasting.


Friday, March 16

Claddagh Pub 17th Annual Meet in the Street

What:
Bar Crawl
Where: Claddagh Pub (2918 O’Donnell St.)
When: Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17
Price: PAYG

This huge St. Patrick’s day celebration, sponsored by one of the staple Irish bars on the square, rules Canton all weekend long. The roads will be shut down for outdoor beer tents, live music by Mr. Greengenes, and more than enough Irish-themed debauchery.


Saturday, March 17

Shamrocks and Shenanigans

What: Concert and Open Bar
Where: Power Plant Live! (34 Market Pl.)
When: 10 AM–close, Saturday, March 17
Price: Free Access to Power Plant, $20 concert Alley Access pass, $30 open bar and food

Girl Talk will headline this epic St. Patrick’s day celebration with opener Height With Friends. Access to Power Plant Live will be free but a $20 Alley Access pass gets you admission to the Girl Talk show, plus no cover at bars including Mosaic, MEX, Luckie's Tavern, Luckie's Liquors, Leinenkugel's Beer Garden, Angels Rock Bar and PBR Baltimore.

There will be free live music earlier in the day as well including The Qilo, who'll play at noon at Leinenkugel's Beer Garden, and McNaughsty's, set for 5 PM at MEX. Finally, if you are looking for some food and drink specials, Leinenkugel's and Luckie's Tavern are hosting an open bar & food 10 AM to 4 PM; admission is $30.

Baltimore Greek Week

What: Cultural Celebration
Where: Baltimore Greektown
When: Sunday, March 18-Sunday, March 25
Price: PAYG

Coordinated by the Baltimore-Piraeus Sister Cities Committee, Baltimore Greek Week kicks off this Sunday and culminates on Sunday, March 25 with the Maryland Greek Independence Day Parade in Greektown. There are many restaurants showcasing their Greek pride this week with food and drink specials including Zorba’s, Acropolis Restaurant, and Ikaros, so make sure to check out the schedule.
