Cocktail Recipe: The Duchess at Vino Rosina
Vino Rosina is a great place for wine, as you might surmise by the name even if you haven't yet been to the Harbor East Modern American. However, the bar also serves a fantastic selection of martini-style cocktails, all made with house-infused Prairie organic vodka.
We checked in with general manager Joshua Barbour, who sent over the recipe for one of his favorites, The Duchess. Our Drink of the Week, this concoction combines the light but unique flavors of elderflower and lavender with the tang of citrus and the bite of Moscato for a nuanced sip. Check out the recipe below, or head over to Vino Rosina, where the drink sells for $10.5 on its own, or can be ordered as part of a flight of four different martinis for $12.
The Duchess
2 oz. lavender-infused Prairie vodka
1 oz. St. Germain elderflower liqueur
½ oz. fresh lemon juice
Dash Peychaud's bitters
Splash Moscato D'Asti
Combine first four ingredients in a pint glass full of ice and shake. Strain into chilled martini glass. Top with Moscato splash.
