Dempsey's Brewpub at Camden Yards Opens April 6
Avid readers of the Baltimore Orioles’ A-to-Z Guide may have noticed quite a few exciting changes coming to Camden Yards this Friday. In celebration of the ballpark’s 20th Anniversary season, the Orioles and their concessionaire, Delaware North Companies Sportservice, have partnered to bring some local variety into the park. Being the beer-lovers that we are, the addition of Dempsey's Brew Pub & Restaurant to the Eutaw Street side of the stadium definitely caught our eye.
This pub, named for Orioles Hall of Fame catcher and 1983 World Series MVP Rick Dempsey, will be a full-service brew pub housed in the old Bud Light Warehouse Bar. It will accommodate 150 in the dining area, 100 at the bar, and another 80 in outdoor seating. Featured beers with baseball-themed names will be brewed on the premise, including Rain Delay IPA, Rick's Red Ale, Wild Pitch Wheat, and Pine Tar Stout. According to the Baltimore Sun, though the bar will be open for use on April 6, the full dining menu and house-brewed beers will not be ready for debut until the second homestead.
And not to worry, there will be plenty of opportunities to taste test these beers outside of the Orioles’ home games. Dempsey’s plans to serve lunch and dinner seven days a week, year-round, making it a must-see location this season.
