Cocktail Recipe: Apple Blossom at B&O American Brasserie
We first mentioned the new cocktail menu at Charles Street’s B&O American Brasserie last week, and have since had a chance to sample several of Brendan Dorr’s newest creations (to our delight). They’re worth the stop into the Hotel Monaco restaurant, which has carved a good following among Baltimore locals, thanks to the high level execution of both food and drink.
The spotlight of our Drink of the Week shines on the Apple Blossom, which sparks up Angel’s Envy Bourbon with the ever-appealing combination of apple (schnapps) and ginger (Domain de Canton, and then lightens the combination with citrus and a splash of soda. Check out the cocktail recipe below, or head over to the restaurant — this one’s perfect for a spring afternoon at the sunlit bar.
Apple Blossom
1½ oz. Angel’s Envy Bourbon
½ oz. Schonauer Apfel
¾ oz. Domain de Canton
½ oz. lemon juice
¼ oz. lime juice
splash soda water
Combine first five ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well. Pour everything into a highball glass, top with a splash of soda and garnish with green apple slices.
