Townhouse Kitchen + Bar Bringing Tap Tables to Harbor East - UPDATED
A grand opening on Thursday, May 24 is set for Townhouse Kitchen + Bar, a new gastropub from Restaurants-America. More than 40 taps will pour local beers, both at the bar and at individual tables, thanks to a not-often-seen tap table system that allows patrons to fill their own pints. Craft cocktails will also be on the menu.
UPDATE: Reps had described the tap tables as the first in Baltimore; Beer in Baltimore noted tap tables can be currently found at Leinenkugel’s Beer Garden. However, a bit of futher investigation reveals that Townhouse's tap tables will be the first of their kind for the city. For instance, there will be four taps at each station, with lines that reach all the way back to the bar (instead of a keg under the table, as at Leinie's). Plus, we're hearing that one of the taps may be reserved for spirits, instead of brew. Pour your own negroni, perhaps?
The drinks will accompany American-style fare from chef Bryan Perdue, an Ocean City native with years of experience, so guests can expect plenty of seafood and crab cakes that rank with the best in the region. Expect patio seating with a great view of the harbor and live music shows at the lunch and dinner eatery (open daily 11 AM–2 AM), and check back soon for details on the weekday 3–6 PM happy hour and Sunday brunch.
