Maryland Brewers Oktoberfest at Timonium Fairgrounds, October 13
The biggest beer festival in Baltimore takes place Saturday, October 13, and features over 80 beers from 15 Maryland breweries, German food, live music and several fun contests, including a homebrew competition.
General admission is just $25, and includes a commemorative tasting stein, six drink tokens and noon-6 PM access to the fair. (Additional tokens are $1 each, cash only.) Get in an hour early with the VIP option at $39 per person (you’ll also get a special souvenir bottle opener).
In addition to sipping suds and noshing on sausages and schnitzel, you can sing classic German drinking songs with multiple oompah bands and try to win a title at one of the following important contests: Baltimore’s Best Beer Belly, Carry Your Wife, Miss Oktoberfest or the Heavy Seas Pretzel Necklace competition.
If you’re going for Miss Oktoberfest — or if you love lederhosen — know that you’ll score three extra drink tokens just for showing up in traditional German attire. There’s also a free shuttle from the light rail stop direct to the show entrance, so your clogs won’t weigh you down.
Tickets are available here.
