Fundraiser for J. Patrick's Irish Pub, July 29
For decades, J. Patrick’s Irish Pub has been the central hub of Baltimore’s music scene, as well as home to arguably the best Irish Coffee in the city. But in early July, proprietor Joe Byrne passed away, and this family-friendly gathering place is in danger of closing.
On Sunday, friends and patrons will gather from 4:30–8:30 PM at the Locust Point tavern for a fundraiser. Tanzania Ceili Band will provide Celtic tunes for enjoyment and dancing, and the beer will flow. As the Facebook event page says, “The more you spend, the longer [they] can keep Byrne’s legacy alive.” So head out for a jig and a brew, it’ll bring you luck!
