Kegs and Corks Beer and Wine Festival, August 25-26
Back in 1947, Blob’s Park was home of America’s first Oktoberfest celebration, and this year a new tradition begins at the Maryland venue, which was renovated and reopened in 2007. The first-ever Kegs and Corks Beer and Wine Festival will take place Saturday–Sunday, August 25–26.
Tickets (available here) to either of the noon–6 PM events bring samples of all featured brew and vino, as well as a souvenir tasting glass. Advance entry is $25 per person, which bumps up to $30 at the gate. Designated drivers and kids aged 13–21 get in for $10 each.
What will you taste? Participating breweries include DuClaw, Heavy Seas, Port City, Starr Hill, Yards and several more. On the other side, St. Michael’s, Cassinelli, Cove Point and other wineries will pour their best fermented grape juice.
Live music will play throughout the fest, which is held beneath tents and will go on rain or shine.
