Heavy Seas Hosts Pyrates, Pigs & Pints, September 15
Have you ever wondered what 1,000 pounds of bacon would look like? On Saturday, September 15, Heavy Seas will make this bacon-lovers' dream a reality.
Pyrates, Pigs & Pints will be hosted in the Heavy Seas warehouse and feature more than 10 varieties of bacon, including Hugh’s favorite from 2011: Nodine’s Double Smoked Bacon (from Connecticuit). Also look for bourbon-flavored bacon and jalepeno bacon from VA, as well as juniper bacon from New Hampshire. For a full bacon list, check the Heavy Seas event page.
Additionally, more than eight of Baltimore’s best restaurants will serve a variety of bacon dishes. Confirmed participants include Heavy Seas Alehouse, with braised bacon, peg leg onions and summer corn; KS Catering with bacon maple BBQ wings, and Parfections Handmade Gourmet Chocolates with bacon bark dark chocolate.
All the porky food can be paired with Heavy Seas keg and cask beer selections available throughout the noon–4 PM event. All inclusive tickets cost $59, with a $39 option available for designated drivers.
