Baltimore Bartenders' Guild Serves Up Pet-Tails for BARCS
Do you love great cocktails? Do you love puppies and kittens? (Don’t answer that last one — even rhetorically —if it’s in the negative; we don’t want to know.) For most of us here, the answer is “Yes!” and through the end of the year, there’s an easy way to drink well while helping homeless critters at the same time.
The Baltimore Bartenders’ Guild has organized a fundraiser at four member bars across the city: buy the featured cocktail and $1 will be donated to the Baltimore Animal Rescue Care Shelter (BARCS). So all you have to do is drink up, and puppies and kittens get care and homes. Simple? Simple.
Here’s a list of the participating bars, and the drinks that will get a buck donated to BARCS each time you order one:
B&O American Brasserie — Brendan Dorr: Cat's Whiskers (Plymouth gin, lemon, ginger Syrup, Hum liqueur, egg white, soda) AND A Dog Named Peat (Angel’s Envy bourbon, Laphroig Scotch, sugar, orange bitters, aromatic bitters, Peychauds bitters, absinthe).
Bad Decisions — John Reusing: Brown Dog (gin and Anchor Brewing Brekle's Brown Ale).
Rye — Doug Atwell: Ursa Minor (Tito's Vodka, Barenjager, lemon, walnut bitters).
Willow — Julia Momose: Nadia's Tail (Pisco Porton, fresh grapefruit juice, green cardamom syrup, egg white, cranberry bitters, pink peppercorns).
