In the lineup of top reasons to cross the bay, kissing a pig has to rank pretty high on the list. No? Whether or not you fancy a chance to brush snouts with the pride of Caroline County, a pot-bellied pig named Chloe, the party at The BBQ Joint this weekend looks to be worth a trip to Easton.
In celebration of three years of smoking great ‘cue, chef-owner Andrew Evans is holding a free pig roast from noon—2 PM on Saturday, January 12. Stop by the dive to enjoy free samples of spit-roasted pork from the pitmaster, along with radio contests like pig calling and pig squealing.
Chloe will be puckering up for $10 per smooch, and all proceeds will benefit nonprofits the
Neighborhood Service Center and
St. Vincent de Paul Food Banks. Evans’ BBQ is down and dirty and delicious, and pay-as-you-go beer on offer includes
Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA and
Brown Ale, as well as
Butternuts Porkslap Pale Ale (a serious winner in a can). Never kissed a pig before? Now’s your chance.
