The Beer Bacon Music Festival Has Too Much Bacon and Beer for Just One Day, May 17 &18
Three words. Bacon, beer, music. Are those not some of the most beautiful words in the English language? The Beer Bacon Music Festival has taken those three amazing words and combined them into an epic two-day festival in Frederick, MD.
On May 17 & 18, the Beer Bacon Music Fest will take over the Fairgrounds e-ventplex between Noon and 5 PM each day. Each day will be filled to the brim with literal tons of bacon, over 100 beers, and plenty of jams to keep your feet tapping. And it’s one of the largest homebrew competitions around. Are you hooked yet?
Maybe we should explain a little more. Literal tons of bacon? Yup. There will be a 2-ton all-you-can-eat bacon bar set up with a variety of styles and cuts that you can enjoy as often as you’d like. There will also be other food for those less bacon-inclined. Food trucks and restaurants will be set up selling á la carte bacon and non-bacon options.
And as for the beverages, there will be plenty. Over 40 breweries will be in attendance including DuClaw, Devils Backbone, Green Flash, and many more. Sample any and every beer for only a penny! All the pennies collected over the weekend will go to Cocktails for a Cause Maryland. For those not as excited about craft beer, or if you’d just like to give your palette a break, wine will be available á la carte as well. Check out the full beer list right here.
As for the music, a new band will grace the stage every hour, for a grand total of 10 different bands throughout the weekend. The lineup includes Skribe, Flanagan Smith, Drunk Naked Pirates, and more. Check out the full lineup and schedule.
