Summer Swish Comes to Birroteca, June 6

Birroteca’s inaugural Swish culinary craft event in the spring that featured American whiskey, rye beers and barrel aged beers (and that suckling pig!) was a huge success. So, with the summer heat descending upon us, Birroteca is at it again, this time with a heavy focus on a lighter spirit for summer: Gin.

This second event, on Saturday, June 6 from 12–4 PM, will feature local cask-conditioned beers, craft gin and classic gin cocktails. A large variety of American Craft Gin Distilleries will be onsite pouring samples while the Birroteca bartenders will be mixing hand-crafted classic gin cocktails and pouring unlimited samples of the featured beers.

Drinkers are going to need some noshes to absorb all of this boozy goodness so it’s fortunate that renowned Chef Jonathan Hicks will be on hand as well, with some savory snacks created to perfectly pair with the selection of summer beers and gin cocktails. Expect to see snacks like IPA braised Ribs, Fried Green Tomato Caprese bites, Birroteca’s new Verde Pizza and more.

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased here. Below you will find the list of feature beverages for the day. Cheers to summer!

Gin Distilleries:
Catoctin Creek (VA), Wigle (PA), Anchor (CA), Few (IL), Green Hat (DC), Deaths Door (WI), Cardinal (NC), Mississippi River Distilling (IA), Barr Hill (VT) and others to be announced.
