LOUIS XIII Cognac announced this week that they will be partnering with John Malkovich and director Robert Rodriguez (Sin City) to create a new film project entitled “100 Years” and subtitled “The Movie You Will Never See.” The film has already been wrapped and completed and is currently stored safely away in a super-secure safe that will open by itself after 100 years have passed, so that in 2115, the film can finally be screened.
The film focuses on the production of a single decanter of LOUIS XIII Cognac, and is meant to remind both viewers and drinkers that the creators of the cognac rarely, if ever, get to experience their own product -- and the filmmakers certainly won’t get to see their own final product now that it’s locked away in the vault.
